In this post What’s Sold December 2024 eBay Sales I’m a bit late sharing this but it was another month where I was away for a couple of different periods but I still did OK. In November I took advantage of the Black Friday Sales to get myself some cheap flights away to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
It was a lovely week and the best part was for the month sales were quite good. My best pick up was a load of DVDs from one of my local charity shops. I spent quite a lot getting these but it was very good business.
As I mentioned I spent a week in the Canary Islands but not only this I also went to Basingstoke too to see my family just after Xmas. If I remember correctly I got back just before the New Year as I had another International trip booked for January to Morocco.
You can read more about this on My Travel Blog but anyway let’s talk about my sales for December.
What’s Sold December 2024 eBay Sales
I will start with my fist sale of the month. A record I sold on the 1st December
Simon & Garfunkel I Am A Rock EP Vinyl 7″ Record EP6074 1966 45 RPM CBS 4 Tracks

I got this in a bag of 45s of my older brother. He works for a charity and he comes across all sorts of bits from doing clearances. This was maybe the most valuable one – it sold for £7.45 with £1.55 postage.
Find Your Fate #8: Indiana Jones and the Dragon of Vengeance CYOA Gamebook

This is the 2nd one of these books from this series I’ve had before. The last one went for alright money and so did this one. I got this from a guy I met who does house clearances. This come with loads of cool vintage sci fi paperbacks and Warhammer books. Amazingly this sold for £29.95 plus International postage.
If you ever come across the full set of these for cheap BUY THEM because you will make a an absolute killing.
Farscape Seasons 1 to 4 Plus Peacekeeper Wars, 1999-2009, Jim Henson DVD Boxset

This was the first set of DVDs I sold from lot of box sets which I got from the charity shop. I am quite pleased to admit that I didn’t leave any behind. I was very happy to sell this my total bill for all the DVDs and a few books was £72.50 and this sold for £25.00 plus postage and no fees because of eBay scrapping fees last month. What a deal this was.
Optoma EP 745 Projector With Remote, Bag And Cables Untested

This was a bit of a crappy sale really. I paid I think £5 for this at the car boot and it sold for £20 with free postage. I think this was £5.65 to go in the Inpost Locker but honestly I was just glad to see this go. It is the thing with reselling you will pick up duds every once in a while – and getting that bit of space back is always good. I am a bit of an amateur with projectors – some can do well but check to see if the bulbs Inside (I think). Will have to do my research before I buy anymore.
DUE SOUTH: Complete TV Series Season 1-4 & Pilot *Paul Gross* Region 1 & 2 DVD

This was the only set of DVDs I didn’t buy first time round but it was bugging me after I went. I was sitting at the Wetherspoons having food on my phone googling and I realised that i should have got these as well so I went back for them. This was the 2nd lot to sell after the Farscape ones and these went for £34.50 + postage.
Not bad 2 sets from this lot £59.50 back.
Vintage 1978 LEGO Set 775 FIRE FIGHTER BOAT Ship 1970’s Floating No Sticker

I got this from the same charity shop as the DVDs. I paid £12 for a box of Megablocks – my thinking here was that I had some already that wasn’t selling so I could bulk up what I had but there was a bits of Lego in here too Including this vintage piece here.
The good thing was just this piece of Lego made me my £12 back plus £3.95 (£15.95 plus postage) which means everything else I got for free. This includes other Lego bits I sold separate!
SELECTED WORKS OMNIBUS John Wyndham UK hardcover + dustjacket 1st ed. 1980 / VGC

I don’t really see many resellers with my love for books. They can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes having so many and having to go through the whole lot just to find one. But this was a good sale I paid £1 and sold for £25.95 + postage. I am not sure what made me pick this up actually I think I just liked the look of it but I did look it up at the shop when I bought it. It sold within a few weeks I think it was so not too bad.
Jake and the Fatman The Complete Collection Full Series CBS DVD Box Set RG1 NTSC

Back to the DVD Boxset buy. This was the 3rd to sell after the 2 lots above. This one sold for £40.00 plus postage. Doing the maths I paid £82.50 for everything I got on this day including a few books then I made £59.50 from the last sales so this one what made my money back plus £17 – very happy about this.
Matlock The Complete TV Series 48 Disc DVD Box Set Season 1-9 Region 1 US Import

The next to sell from the DVD bundle. I got £50 for this one – pretty cool. All profit now. It might have been considered a risky buy – this lot of DVDs – I had to 3 for £1 on every disc and the poor guy at the counter had to count every disc in I can’t remember how many box sets but definitely this was good business.
Star Trek: Voyager – The Complete Journey – Seasons 1-7 DVD boxset Region 2

This was the next sale from the DVD lot. I sold this complete set of Star Trek Voyager DVDs for £28.95 + Postage. So basically after the last sale I’m a £95.95 up with 2 box sets left. Car boot sales are great but charity shops can be pretty good for sourcing too.
The X-Files Complete Series 1 -9 Film Collector’s Edition DVD Box Set Sealed New

This wasn’t from the charity shop DVD buy. I got this from Facebook Marketplace. Delivery Included. So, I needed Angel Season 7 on VHS to complete the set of Buffy & Angel on VHS – not looking to posting them when they sell but anyway so I got this X Files set, Angel Season 1-5 on DVD sealed and the VHS for I think £50 or £60. This sold for £55 + postage so when the rest sell that will be my profit.
Ben 10 Omni-Metallic Cannonbolt Action Figure Cartoon Network Boxed New Retail

I got 3 boxes of these figures new and sealed off Vinted. I think for about £30 it was. I’ve been quite lazy listing these but this was the first to sell. Not a big sale £9.95 plus postage but its all good 2-3 more sales and all the rest will be profit.
Minecraft Story Mode Complete Adventure (PS4, 2016) PlayStation 4 Episodes 1-8

This was a nice little find. I got this last time I was in Basingstoke after I got back from my European tour in November. I can’t remember what I paid it might have been £4 or £6 but it was a pretty good flip because this sold for £34.95 + postage.
LEGO NINJAGO Hunted Stormbringer 70652 – set with Manual 2 Pcs Missing Only

I don’t even know where I am at profit wise with this buy. I spent £450 on a collection of Lego Ninjago. I’ve sold a few bits now. Perhaps I have broke even already. I’m kind of a bit of a sucker for Lego. There is plenty of money to be made from it but its often not sold cheap. People (Including myself) get very sentimental over it but always good to buy some every now and again. This set sold for £39.50 + postage.
Vintage 33 X Volumes of Charles Dickens Centennial Edition Complete Works Heron

I paid £30 for this set from one of my local charity shops. This was missing 5 books I think it was from the full set. Maybe I should have got the others – the full set I’ve seen sell for over £100 but in a way I was glad to get these gone because they was quite heavy and took up quite a bit of space.
I still made a bit of money on these. They went for £70 and was collected. I was in Lanzarote when these sold the buyer was very understanding and patient. He did not get these till the 2nd of January after I sold them on the 11th of December.
2000 AD Annuals Bundle 1988-1991, 1980, 1982 & Judge Dread 1989

This set (mostly) came from my last buy from the guy I met who does the house clearances. This was an amazing deal. I don’t even know what would have worked out as for these but I spent £130 on whole deal and I got loads – Warhammer books, Vintage Sci Fi Paperbacks, other annuals, D&D type magazines.
These books I got with some Action Force books and I did a deal on Vinted for a couple more with I think 2x of the 200AD annuals which I put with this lot here. All of these sold for £26.95 + postage and I think I got a similar return on the Action Force books too.
Never-ending Story (King Penguin) Paperback Michael Ende 1983 1st UK Edition

I know exactly what I was buying with this one. It was only a couple months before I sold this as a Hardback. Paid only £1 for this maybe even less and whilst I didn’t think it would sell for as much as the hardback I had but it was still a good pick up. I sold this for £24.95 + postage. The other book I think sold for £34.95 + post.
Vintage 5 pin Wired Keyboard Model: 5140 ID: E5XKBM10510 Grey Untested Keys OK

This might surprise people but if you ever see any of these old keyboards with the 5 Pin connectors get them. I got my first lot of these from a reseller bundle earlier this year. Admittedly this has been the only one I’ve found out in the wild so far but not too bad – paid £3.00 and sold for £24.95 plus postage.
Frank Auerbach – To The Studio [2001] & Frank By Jake Auerbach 2x DVD Bundle

DVDs in general are a funny thing to buy. Many of them are quite worthless. With some you can sell as bundles. Box sets I’m sure you can see from reading this post from the beginning – if you have whole sets they can do quite well. Besides this the other ones to look out for are the obscure ones.
Just make sure you check online first to see what you have. These 2 I got pretty lucky with paid £1 sold for £25 plus postage. I don’t think it was too long after listing them either.
5 X Disney Store Official Sisu Raya And The Last Dragon 3 Monkeys Soft Toy Plush

This took quite a while to sell. I bought this from a little girl and her dad at the car boot. Pretty funny as the girl was making up the prices because these were her old toys. She was only about 5 and she was asking for top dollar lol I think I paid £5 or £6 for Raya and Sisu. The 3 monkeys I got off Vinted Separately.
It must have cost me about £12 in the end all in. Not massive profit in the but I was happy to sell for £26.92 with postage.
Longmire The Complete Series 1-6 15-DISC DVD BOX SET UK region 1
This was from the big DVD boxset buy. This DVD boxset sold for £21.25 – all profit at this point. Over £100 made from this deal at this point and I still have 1 boxset left and the books I also got as part of this deal.
Agatha Christie Collection 22 Hardback Book Set Of Novels (2001) Planet Three

Not too shabby. I paid £10 for this lot of books and within less than a week I sold this set for £55 + postage. If I remember right this wasn’t a lot of fun to get out to my local Inpost locker because of its weight but a nice bit of profit on this so it was worth it once this sold – definitely.
3v.in 1v (The Lord of the Rings) J. R. R. Tolkien Hardback Book 1989 Unwin Hyman

This come from the same charity shop as the Agatha Christie books. I bought this I think maybe a week before and I paid £2.00. There wasn’t any others sold I see on eBay I think so it was a bit of a case of trusting my gut here but it was a cool item in nice condition. Lord of the Rings bits usually sell quite good for me and this went for £34.95 plus postage so very happy with this.
The Muppets Most Wanted Animal Drummer Plush Figure Disney Store Exclusive 60cm

I’ve sold a Muppets Animal plush quite similar to this before that one went for around £30 and this one I got off Vinted with some other bits. From what I recall, I wasn’t looking for this but as I like to try and find bulk deals to try and cover my costs for bundle items I found this in the sellers other items.
I can’t remember what I paid, it might have been about £8.00 but this sold for £32.50 plus postage so I think this was totally worth getting. Took a while to sell but yes this I think is the best muppet to sell on eBay.
*Side note: If you are buying items to resell from Vinted. Save the photos as you can use these for your own listings. I did this with this sale above and also the one below;
Disney Club Penguin 25 Figures Penguins huge Job Lot Plus Accessories & Vehicles

Another awesome find on Vinted. This was a really good deal. I think I paid £5-10 for this lot and these sold very quickly. I actually think I sold these too cheap but I still made about £30 on these selling them for £45.00 + postage. I did look for more bundles like this after but I think I was just lucky with this one – deals like this on Vinted are out there but you have to be pretty persistent and patient I think.
Oh, and just to note – don’t just buy because you have money to spend always make sure the deal will be a good flip.
35 X The Wonderful World of Teddy Bears Magazines 3 Issues Missing From 1-38

I really don’t know what to say about this deal. I paid £25 at the car boot for 32 magazines I think it was. These were sitting around for ages and then I spent £7.19 for a small bundle on Vinted and updated the listing. I finally sold the whole lot on an offer for £50 plus postage – I don’t think it was a great deal really but in truth I did just want these gone so was pretty happy to accept.
I must have been in Basingstoke when these sold so holiday settings would have been on. I think between leaving there on NYE and heading to the airport to go to Morocco on the night of the 2nd of January this was a bit of an annoying sale given the timing but the money was good to have definitely.
SLx TV Signal Booster Aerial Amplifier 6 Way Distribution Amplifier 27823B Boxed

The last sale to share from December. This was 100% profit. Someone was giving away some “learn to play” keyboard books for children. I sold a set of these the previous month and I had one book left so my thinking was I could make another bundle –
this other item was another thing they was giving away and they let me have this as well.
Funnily enough, I was ordering a take away from the chicken shop in Baldock after I picked this up and I took the photos and listed this whilst I was waiting. It sold pretty quickly and I got £24.95 + free postage.
I’ve since stopped following new posts on this local give away site. I still use it to get rid of bits I don’t want which is handy. Sometimes you can find some gems but it can be a bit of frustrating thing to participate in seeing what goes before you even get the chance to comment. Also, I don’t want to be greedy it’s nice to let other people get things and I all the bits I actually have to sell what are unlisted – WELL!
How Much Did I Make For December 2024?

I am not sure if it was because of Xmas time or that I was not away for as long as the month before but as you can see I made an extra £250 (£244.04 to be precise) and this was up even more from October because November see an Increase of 16.5% from that month. Probably due to eBay scrapping fees – what a great time to be a reseller. It will be Interesting to see if this trend continues or not?

In Conclusion
So these were my best December 2024 eBay Sales. Pretty happy with what I made considering I was away for the best part of 2 weeks of the month. I’m back away next month AGAIN to Morocco for 2 weeks – that will be Interesting to see if sales are down or up but it is nice to get away like I have been doing.
I guess my secret has been cheap flights cheap accommodation and keeping my finger on the trigger to message buyers to see if they noticed my holidays settings were on and asking them whether there happy to wait. I guess having a good eye for products out in the wild is also a bonus but I will finish this what’s sold post here. Let’s see how things are In February after Xmas and my next holiday…
